The YMCA Camp Harrison Nature Center is situated next to a wooded stream in the foothills of North Carolina. It will be used for nature instruction, conservancy demonstration, and other nature-related activities.

The building is simple in concept, with wide expanses of glass facing the wooded stream. The interior space is surrounded on three sides by a covered deck, extending the interior space to the exterior. All roof rainwater runoff is captured for storage and later use to water garden plants.
